Marcos Micozzi is an Argentinian Byron Bay based Virtual Reality audio engineer. Best known for turning a Neve Custom 75 recording console into a synthesiser and using VR to move sounds in space.

 

Sponsored by the German software developer company Dear Reality, Marcos won an SAE International Award for best Audio Project in 2022 for his Art Installation "Simulated Environments" which explores the relationship between gesture and sound once lost with computer performances. The installation was also exhibited at the 4’33’’ exhibition at Elevator ARI in Lismore and <cite> exhibition at Lone Goat Gallery in Byron Bay.

As a DJ, Marcos performs together with his partner Kimi Brown under the name of In The Flower. They have performed at music festivals around Australia and New Zealand like Splendour In The Grass, Bluesfest, A Festival Called Panama, Party In The Paddock, Tora Bombora (NZ) and The Basin Concerts. They have also been invited to support acts like Touch Sensitive, CC Disco, Chaos In The CBD, Kinder, Sumner, Mildlife, Surprise Chef, Middle Name Dance Band, and Desmond Cheese amongst others.

Marcos has also been working as a music producer, mixing and recording engineer and film composer. Collaborating in the production realm with industry leaders including Pat Davern (Grinspoon), Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy), Bobby Allu, Boats, Leigh Fisher, Hamish Mitchell, Boats, Billy Otto and Geoff Wright, amongst others.
